The second annual Diamond Ball to benefit the Clara Lionel Foundation (CLF) kicked off this Thursday, December 10 with host Kevin Hart and a special performance by Lionel Richie. The CLF was founded in 2012 by Rihanna to honor her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite. The CLF works to improve the quality of life for communities globally in the areas of health, education, arts and culture. Rihanna’s inspiring history of service to others continues in CLF’s mission, programs and partnerships.

Rihanna helped raise over $3 million at the event. Her manager Jay Brown won the auction for a replica of her Dior dress at $45,000.
“The energy, the crowd, the vibe,” Rihanna told People about the event. “I love everything about it!”
“It’s overwhelming to see so many of the people that I care about come together to support a cause that is near and dear to my heart,” she added. — Just Jared
